Our Story

Dr. Vasiliki Tsigas-Fotinis is the founder of 3 B Healthy. This new venture reflects her lifelong motto:

May our learning never end and may our love for others weave community!

The Tsigas-Fotinis family comes from a cultural heritage steeped in the values and practice of hospitality with abundant home-cooked feasts. For decades, Vasiliki has opened her home for celebrations emphasizing the importance of each person's presence rather than presents! Continuing the generations of traditions of her Greek forebears, her home is open to all—family, friends, strangers, newcomers, far and near.

We gather first in gratitude to God, offering what's best for everyone's physical & spiritual health. Our planet's health and wellbeing are respected by minimizing waste. 3 B Healthy isn't just about healthy desserts, it's about building and beeing commUNITY!

New Jersey recently (October 2021) approved their Cottage Food Operators - Home Bakers laws.* To comply with the laws of NJ, I received my CFO (Coge Food Operator permit) #186 on 11/10/21, Food Protection Manager Certification #L2SC-3-014154 on 10/12/21 and Roxbury Township Zoning Permit #ZA-11-21-904 on 11/10/21. Our family decided to share our hospitality with the community and beyond, now with the new NJ Home Bakers - CFO laws which help make this possible.

*CFO explained: New Jersey historically prohibited the sale of home baked goods but has now joined 49 other states in allowing cottage food operations. The NJ Health Department allows CFO to only retail their goods to customers directly either by picking up or personal delivery. They are allowed to sell at farm markets, farm stands or NJ temporary food establishments. Products cannot be mailed and must only be sold in the state of NJ.
